Our team will work with you before enrolment and throughout your training to identify reasonable and appropriate support that may help you succeed.
Participant Eligibility Criteria apply to South Australian Government subsidised training. Eligibility, course availability and funding conditions must be confirmed before enrolment.
Students seeking access to Skills SA subsidised training must complete the applicable Upfront Assessment of Need process before a training account is created. The UAN have the following assessment areas as mentioned below:
Important: The UAN is not designed to prevent students from accessing training. Its purpose is to ensure the qualification is appropriate for you and to identify any support that may assist you to successfully complete your studies. In some cases, participation in agreed support services may be a condition of accessing Skills SA subsidised training.
Fran Capelli Academy is committed to supporting students to successfully complete their training.
Success and Wellbeing Services is funded by the South Australian Government and delivered by an approved SWS provider. The service provides non-clinical, individualised support to help students address barriers that may affect their ability to remain engaged in training and complete their course.

SWS is intended for eligible students participating in South Australian Government subsidised VET who may benefit from additional support to commence, continue or complete their training. Eligibility and referral arrangements are confirmed under current Skills SA requirements.
Fran Capelli Academy will discuss a proposed referral with you. Where consent is required, we will obtain it before sharing personal information with the SWS provider, except where disclosure is otherwise authorised or required by law.Type your paragraph here

Support for apprentices and trainees
Privacy, consent and respectful support
Apprentices and trainees can experience additional pressures because training is combined with employment and workplace responsibilities. Fran Capelli Academy may work with you, your employer and relevant apprenticeship network or government stakeholders to support progress, subject to privacy and consent requirements.
> Clarifying the training plan, delivery schedule and workplace evidence requirements
> Coordinating trainer contact and workplace visits
> Identifying barriers affecting participation or progression
> Discussing suitable support or reasonable adjustment
> Helping address gaps in access to workplace tasks or supervision
> Referring eligible students to SWS or other support services
Information you provide about your support needs will be handled respectfully and in accordance with Fran Capelli Academy’s privacy obligations, contractual requirements and relevant policies. We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for enrolment, training, assessment, support, reporting or other authorised purposes.

No. SWS is funded by the South Australian Government and is free for eligible students.
Asking for support will not disadvantage you. Identifying needs early helps Fran Capelli Academy plan appropriate assistance. In some circumstances, engaging with an agreed support service may be a condition of access to subsidised training.
No. SWS is a non-clinical support and case management service. A coach may connect you with an appropriate medical, mental health, crisis or community service.
SWS does not deliver literacy and numeracy training. Fran Capelli Academy will discuss foundation skills support or an approved referral pathway with you.
Yes. Contact Student Services or your trainer as early as possible. Adjustments are considered individually and must preserve the integrity of the training and assessment requirements.
Eligible students may be able to self-refer through the Skills SA My Training website, or Fran Capelli Academy can help arrange a referral.
Current Skills SA information states that support is available from enrolment, throughout training and for up to 12 weeks after course completion or exit.
